We recently wrote about Testive CEO, Miro Kazakoff, and his opinions on the traps and opportunities in edtech. Testive recently announced they have just secured a $500K seed funding round from several angel investors in Boston.
Testive helps students prepare for tests, including the SAT. Developed at MIT, their technology claims to predict student scores faster than traditional practice tests. The technology is also meant to help motivate students by showing them how their score improves with more practice. Check out the beta version of their SAT test preparation tool at www.SATHabit.com.
asked what the funding process was like, Miro said:
“It’s no surprise that most technology businesses need to have some basic capability in both business and technology. EdTech companies need to be able to show they are strong in business, technology and education. Being part of the TechStars accelerator and being able to show that we credibly had all three of those skill was the key to unlocking fundraising for us.”
