Announcing Technapex NYC EdTech Event: Open and Social Education

We’re thrilled to announce our next Technapex event! After hosting two sold-out events in San Francisco, we’re holding our next event in New York City to bring together the edtech community on the east coast.

Join us at the Wix Lounge (10 West 18th Street) on Monday, December 10th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. This is your chance to meet and mingle with investors, entrepreneurs, press, teachers, and forward-thinkers in the edtech scene. We’ll have drinks and appetizers followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Laura Pappano, an award-winning journalist, author and blogger.

Laura writes for The New York Times Education Life section, and The Harvard Education Letter. She is also the author of Inside School Turnarounds (2010), co-author of Playing With the Boys(2008), and author of The Connection Gap (2001). Moderator Bio – Laura Pappano

Laura Pappano is an award-winning journalist, author, and blogger. She is the author of Inside School Turnarounds (2010), co-author of Playing With the Boys (2008), and author of The Connection Gap (2001). Laura is a frequent contributor to The New York Times Education Life section, and The Harvard Education Letter. A former education columnist for The Boston Globe, her work has also appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe Magazine, among other print and online publications.  She is writer-in-residence at the Wellesley Centers for Women at Wellesley College, and founder and editor of the FairGameNews blog. Laura serves on several non-profit boards, including the Long Wharf Theatre and New Haven Reads, and runs a journalism program for public school students in New Haven, CT.
