Silicon Valley edtech incubator, Imagine K12, is currently accepting applications for its next class. The deadline is October 29th and the sooner you get your applications in, the better. The next Winter 2013 class will take place January through April next year.
Imagine K12′s program helps edtech founders take their initial idea and build it out to the point that it is investable by early stage investors. Although they do not provide a common work space, the program is helpful for building a strong product, creating a business strategy and pitch. The program consists of office hours, seminars, pitch days, and social events.
The first step is to fill out the application online at http://www.imaginek12.com/apply.html. The top candidates then interview in Palo Alto. Selected founders get funding right away, typically around $14,000 – $20,000.
Imagine K12′s Winter 2012 class included Edshelf, InstaGrok, Hapara, LearningJar, Learnsprout, Socrative, SitontheSAT, Tap to Learn and TeachBoost. The 2011 Summer class included ClassDojo and Educreations, among others.
